3 Shoe Trends for Spring

With the cold weather seeing itself out (don’t let the door hit you…), it’s time to ditch the boots and booties (ok maybe not booties) and bust out the sandals, flats, and wedges that have been hiding for the last three or four months. While it may be tempting to throw on those old flip-flops, opting for something with a little flair can boost your shoe, and outfit game.

Here are 3 shoe trends that I’m loving for spring that will provide a fun update to your warm weather wardrobe:

1. The Sneaker

They aren’t just for going to the gym or a quick run anymore. A cute sneaker goes with anything from jeans to a sundress, and can give something a little too dressy a casual feel. They’re also great for hiding your toes if you’re behind on your pedicure schedule.

2. Espadrilles

Whether they’re a solid color, metallic, or show a little personality with a patch on the toes, espadrilles are everywhere. They’re easy to slip on, comfortable for walking, and can be both casual and dressy enough for a night out.

3. Lace up flats

Ballet inspired and building off of trends of seasons past, adding a lace-up effect to a flat, puts a fun spin on a tradition shoe closet staple. Black and nude will always be staples, but a pair of these in a pop of color can take any outfit to that next level.
